This is the first time I have entered these Awards. I submitted three photos and was thrilled to learn that all three won an Award.
I entered on the OPEN Category which is the most challenging category as you are competing with the professional photographers, not just the Amateurs!!! The International Aperture Awards is a very tough competition as you are up against top professional and amateur photographers worldwide. In a few days the top 50 images of each category will be posted on the website so I can’t wait to see these.

Here is a copy of the Certificate.
This year I entered the Head on Portrait competition for the second year running and was pleased to discover that my photo titled “Hidden Distress” made it to the shortlist again.
The email I received stated:
“We have now finalised the selection for this year’s show. The selection process was extremely difficult as the 4 judges had to choose 40 finalists out thousands of excellent entries.
Your entry was shortlisted and will be included in the slide show. The slide show contains 200 images of very high standard and will be running continuously during the show.”
