The 2012 Creative Asia awards had a total of 1730 images entered by 438 photographers from 47 countries.
I was pleased to receive two awards this year : one SILVER and one BRONZE award:
Another one of my Travel Photos won “Photo of the Day” today. This is a photo I took a few weeks ago in Vietnam whilst I was on a Photographic Trip.

I entered one of my portraits photographs into The Queensland Festival of Photography Portrait Prize recently.
To my surprise I made it to the top 50 finalists, meaning that my image will be presented in an online exhibition on the QCP (Queensland Centre for Photography) website.

The Society rewards its members who achieve excellence in photography. Members achieve different levels because of their motivation, exemplary service, desire to reach a goal, improve self esteem, recognition of their skill, artistry and ability. Recognition to APS members is given for skill in the form the Honours category that is being applied for, in my case, Associate (AAPS)
This year the International Aperture Awards have been renamed the International Loupe Awards.
I entered the OPEN Category which is the most challenging category as you are competing with the best professional photographers as well as amateurs!!!
The International Loupe Awards is a very tough competition as you are up against top professional and amateur photographers worldwide.
I was happy to be awarded one SILVER and two BRONZE awards this year. My portrait shot was only one point under a Silver too…

I received a medallion in the mail yesterday. I had no idea that I had won this. I went to the APS site and located what it was for. It was awarded to me as a result of coming first in Australia for the Open Digital Section during 2010. I also discovered my other results below. What a surprise!
